At The Wilderness Grove our Wild-schooled groups are intended to be long term Forest School groups rather than drop-in sessions. This is to enable children and families to build relationships and networks vital to home education.
Child-led learning and a relaxed approach allows children to learn at their own pace and focus on their interests. They can choose to learn through essential play discovering the equipment, trails and exciting things dotted around the woods to engage their imagination. Mud kitchen, water table, dens, hammocks, woodland creatures and much more..
Or discover, develop and master skills involved in bushcraft, survival, carving, fire lighting and den building.
Our experienced Forest School Leaders use observation and reflection to adapt sessions to cater each individual's needs. Instructional activities provide forest schoolers with opportunities to stimulate learning and develop life long skills.
