Hazel wood

Arriving on foot

Our woodland is located along a small country road that is regularly used by agricultural vehicles and has limited footpaths, so please take extra care when travelling to and from the site.

Please note:
When walking in small groups, keep to the right-hand side of the road so you can see approaching traffic. Stay close to the edge of the road and be prepared to walk in single file if necessary. When approaching a sharp right-hand bend, it may be safer to cross to the left-hand side of the road to improve visibility, crossing back again once the bend has been passed.

If you would like any further guidance about accessing the woodland safely, please feel free to contact us.

Travel and Parking at The Wilderness Grove Forest School

Additional Information

At The Wilderness Grove, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and protecting the natural environment.

Where possible, we encourage visitors to car share, use public transport, cycle or walk when travelling to our woodland site. This helps reduce traffic and supports our efforts to operate as sustainably as possible.

Parking at the woodland is limited to 12 spaces, and we aim to minimise the impact of vehicles on our local rural roads and the surrounding woodland environment. Your support in travelling sustainably helps us care for both the land and the local community. 🌿
